Christmas time means family gatherings, gifts, and of course sales. There’s nothing like a good sale around the holidays. And most of them are too good to be true. This year my Christmas shopping spree haul has continued.

Over the past 10 years, I’ve found myself making my annual visit to a store called Bath & Body Works. If anyone is familiar with this store, then you know they have a huge selection of different fragrances. And their sales are tempting every year.

It’s the place where I can find my lotions, sanitizers, and body wash needs. It’s one of the stores that is my true weakness. And what I love about this store is that the items there make for great Christmas gifts.

While the sales may look a bit pricey for some, I’ve always felt that I got my fair share of great items. I’ve bought a variety of scented items over the years. And I still have a good amount of products left over to use.

With a pandemic going on at the time of publishing, my traditional trip to my favorite store turned into an online shopping experience. This meant that I was unable to smell any of the new products I wanted to purchase.

Still, it didn’t stop me from continuing a 10 year holiday tradition.

My Christmas shopping spree haul

Every year I try to test out the newer products on the shelves. Or at least the ones I’ve never tried before. This year was no different. I managed to get all products that I’ve never tried before.

All of these items were a part of their holiday sales and they usually have similar ones every year. Here’s what I managed to get my hands on this year.

1. Winter Citrus Wreath hand soap

This was the 1st hand soap in my Christmas shopping haul opened, and it instantly reminded me of Christmas. It has an evergreen scent to it so it gives you that illusion of being in the forest. I enjoy foam soaps and this one lathers up really well with a small amount.

2. Crisp Morning Air hand soap

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

A nice clean, fruity scent, this foam hand soap has a soapy feel to it which makes my hands feel so clean after using it. It does have a slight strong perfume smell to it but it’s not overpowering at all. I found this one to be light in scent.

3. Fresh Sparkling Snow hand soap

This foam hand soap is 1 of my favorites of the bunch. First time I used it was at my job where I knew I had to purchase my own. If you’re into sweet scents, then this is the one for you. It’s fresh and clean with a slight hint of melon.

4. Winter Candy Apple hand soap

A top seller around this time of the year, this foam hand soap has a strong scent of rose petals. I didn’t quite smell any apple, but it still smells good nonetheless. I really enjoy the smell of this one because it reminds me of a nice flowery perfume.

5. Rose shower gel

Rose shower gel definitely smells like roses. A light scent that’s not overbearing, it’s good for those spring and summer days out. It has this airy feel to it. If you want something on the lighter side, then this is definitely the scent for you.

6. Fresh Sparkling Snow Shower gel

Somewhat similar to the hand soap, the gel has a nice pear, and melon scent to it that is recognizable. Another light scent, this shower gel is not overpowering with its smell. And after using it, I felt so refreshed and clean.

7. Snowflakes & Cashmere shower gel

If you’re into perfumes then this is the one for you. A creamy, vanilla scent, this shower gel will leave you smelling like you’re going on a night out on the town. This is by far my number 1 shower gel out of the bunch. And I’m glad it made its way into my Christmas shopping spree haul this year.

8. Snowy Morning shower gel

If you ever had a magazine with those sample perfumes inside, this scent reminds me of it. A light fragrance of balsam and lavender really brings out the smell of this one. It’s so clean and airy. So if you’re into lavender scents then this is perfect for you.

9. Ocean men’s 3 in 1 hair, face & body wash

Rating: 4 out of 5.

When I purchased this product, I had no idea it was for men. But the title alone pulled me in to buy it. I was a little disappointed because the bottle arrived damaged. The scent is not overpowering at all for a men’s body wash. It has a hint of musk scent to it but also reminds me of a light men’s cologne.

10. Winter Candy Apple hand sanitizer

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I found that this was quite different from the hand soap. The scent is just great and reminds me so much of sweet candy. These sanitizers came 5 in a pack. The alcohol is 70% and not strong at all. You barely notice that it’s hand sanitizer. I made sure to carry 1 in my bag on the go.

11. Cactus Blossom hand sanitizer

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

This sanitizer has a strong scent of blossom, yet not too overbearing. However, there is a slight hint of alcohol smell that battles the scent of blossom. This is another sanitizer that comes 5 in a pack and is 71% alcohol. While I love the blossom smell, that slight whiff of alcohol can make it seem like just another hand sanitizer.

All of these items were on sale. At the time of this posting, the hand soaps are 4 for $20 or 6 for $26; the shower gels are buy 2 get 1 free or buy 3, get 2 free; sanitizers range from $6 to $8.

And if you miss the sales then no worries. They give similar sales each year.

Conclusion

I was very pleased with my haul for this year’s Christmas shopping spree. While some were better than others, they all were pleasing on the nose. And I love that they’re all not overpowering with their scents. They’ll leave you with a nice, clean and airy smell that I’m sure will make your day.

Many of these scents I will definitely be buying again. I can highly suggest shopping there at least once if you’re into candles, lotions, and soaps. You will not be disappointed.
