Dark Mode Off / On

Romance is in the eye of the beholder. They say itโ€™s a dying breed, that those out there these days want no part of being in a relationship with another which would mean the end of true romance. Yet we all still hope for it from that special someone and some even crave it. I, for one, am all for it and in my own right, I believe that I am a true romantic at heart. I mean who wouldnโ€™t want to be filled with loving emotions from another, a committed truth and bond between souls.

Being in a relationship at times has its moments. No one relationship is perfect in the world and itโ€™s filled with its ups and downs. But the moments that always get me is seeing a couple truly in love, truly meant for each other to express their love in romantic gestures. Whether thatโ€™s a kiss on the cheek after spending the day together, a warm embrace during a difficult time, a surprised date night just because, assisting each other with a difficult task or encouraging them beyond believe because they believe in you and what you stand for, it all melts my heart to see.ย

And Hollywood really piles it on with romantic comedies and love stories. You see it all the time in the movies how the man or woman falls hard for another and every little thing they do for each other or say to each other expresses that love in a romantic way. From the flowers and gifts to the adorable courtship to the showing up at the end to profess their undying love despite the odds, it all seems like a written textbook for romance in real life.

Call me a sap for those movies but Iโ€™ve secretly always enjoyed them. And apparently Iโ€™m not alone because so many others do too. It becomes the dream of many young girls and men out there and often times a blueprint for Valentineโ€™s Day or other holidays and birthdays. But itโ€™s more than that. Itโ€™s more than the generic gift-giving and romantic dinners. True romance is about commitment, intimacy, and passion for another.

Itโ€™s about letting down your guard with that one and exposing your truths to strengthen your bond. Itโ€™s the little and big things combined that gives it that extra push. Itโ€™s knowing that no matter what, you have someone in your corner and you in theirs. Or looking at the way they eat and being okay with it no matter how many crumbs are on their face. Or the way they may tell you god awful jokes that no one laughs at but you. It all ties into romance.

Of course, Iโ€™m no expert in this but observing certain couples over the years as well as a few in recent times, Iโ€™ve managed to get a glimpse of what true romance looks like. Itโ€™s like an indescribable comfort. And when you get one of those couples in front of you, you witness their comfort, their bond. A beautiful sight to see when you look closely and a real-life blueprint.ย โ€‹

Thereโ€™s no way that in this present time, romance is a dying breed. It is alive and kicking and it is essential to a long relationship, a long marriage. So embrace your true romantic size for those in a relationship. And for those who are not, your day of finding that true romance is on the way.  I know that when the day comes for me to finally experience it for myself, Iโ€™m going to be the biggest romantic in the world.

Until next time this is Tammy saying keep strong, keep positive and nothingโ€™s impossible!!!
